Thanks to an innovative circular economy project, we are turning production waste into new precious resources.
A separating machine divides materials into different categories to be recycled or composted:
- Coffee residues are turned into bio-pellets that can be used as environmentally-friendly fuel for stoves or organic feed for plants.
- Noble plastics such as bottle caps, paper and cardboards are recovered and recycled, so they acquire a new lease of life.
The entire process is managed by an authorized company that sorts out the various types of waste in compliance with regulations.
Every phase is transparent and traceable.
Fully recyclable and/or compostable materials
Once it has reached the end of its life, every component can be disposed of and reintroduced into the production cycle, thus minimizing its environmental impact.
- Pods: made of compostable paper, an innovative solution that allows them to be disposed of with organic waste, turning them into a precious soil fertilizer.
- Nespresso-compatible capsules: either in certified recycled aluminium or compostable material and placed in certified paper cases and boxes.
- Eco-compatible packaging: the gas contained in the packets and capsules is self-produced with a nitrogen generator that captures CO2 and releases oxygen, therefore limiting the natural photosynthesis process. A further step towards a zero-emission production cycle.
